Hi, I'm attorney Jim Plitz. I wanted to take this opportunity
to tell you a little bit about why I got into estate planning.
My wife and I were living in Hartford, Connecticut where I was a
project manager for travelers insurance company. It was a really good job, I
made good money, had good hours and it was a overall
fun time in my life, except,
when I compared myself to how my wife was working
I felt a little short. My wife's a home care physical therapist.
She gets to go into people's homes and make a difference in their lives.
She would help them walk to the kitchen,
be able to get to the bathroom and when we got home each night she would share
these stories. I felt like I was really missing something.
She was making a difference in someone's life
and I just don't have that. So as a family we decide to move over to the southwest.
I went to law school where I wanted to be able to utilize
the skills and education and my experience to be able to help people.
I was fortunate enough to get a job with Morris, Hall & Kinghorn,
where I'm able to make a difference in families lives each and every day.
I take the time to get to know my clients,
the people sitting across the table from me.
I wan to know about their hopes, their goals, their concerns,
really get to understand them as people
and overall their family. This way I can develop an
estate plan specifically designed to meet
their needs. I now am proud to say when I go home
and talk to my wife I'm able to share
those moments where I really
made a difference in those people's lives
and because of that, I have that fulfillment.
I look forward to meet you and be able to provide you that same care,
that same understanding to develop an estate plan
that meets your particular needs. So I'm looking forward to meeting you
in the really near future. Thank you.
