ELVIS LIVES AND KONSTA'S LIFE CHANGES.
At the moment my documentary movie is twenty-three minutes long
I've made a lot of progress lately
I've finally found the main Idea for the documentary
and it has become more critical than I expected.
I planned for a long time...
for a year...
... what the main Idea should be, before I realized that "Hey! An movie should have
it's main Idea!"
So I could say that this has been a very refreshing time for me.
You know that you're able to know what you want from your movie!
I've had many different stages. I've had feelings that "I won't accomplish this project!"
and as well had feelings such as "Oh man! Now I can make it!
But now I'm getting into the balance and starting to realize, why I'm doing this movie
It has as well taught some very important things about myself
and what I want for my movie career in future.
It has been very advancive time like I already said, but anyway...
This movie will include a lot of scenes that discuss, who Omar Kaeek is and how
he became an Elvis Tribute artist.
I've wanted to discuss a lot, what reasons drives an normal person to copy a style
from another artist, who is a human as well
and even to live like another person.
To hide behind a mask.
Here's a clip, which explains about hiding behing a mask.
NEWS
Good evening from channel Four's news.
An thesis from University of Turku claims that Elvis was a victim of his masks.
A new thesis from University of Turku changes beliefs about Elvis Presley -
a well-known rock-legend.
The study says that music was secondary thing for Elvis and that he hide behind the
masks
and created an image that finally didn't had an exit.
Already in school, Elvis dressed in pink clothes and started to create his bizarre
image.
He had a dreams to became an gospel singer or an actor.
He didn't became any of these but he did became a freaky, carnevalistic king that
had these different masks he used.
Nice hair and nice looking. And all those, how you call it in English, all those necklaces.
Klinkmann counts that Elvis had four different masks; an rebellious king
became an filmstar after army
who turns into being Las Vegas's King after Rock 'n' roll had reborn.
Why he (Elvis) is the King?
The last mask of Elvis, the Las Vegas-mask is an grotesque and strange
mask. It includes an clown as well it includes an national hero.
Partly he is like emperor, but not a real one.
It is mystical even for the scientist, did Elvis create his roles consciously
or did they composed from his broken psyche that was destroyed step-by-step
since his tragic childood.
These masks are too powerful. No one can't go inside them and survive from
these.
Here!
As you may have noticed from the previous clip, we're still in the 90's, when
Omar's career had just start.
This section is the longest and hardest step in this documentary.
I want to make clear for the viewer's that what different reasons
made Omar to re-create himself from inside and outside into being like Elvis.
Now-a-days we know that Omar Kaeek is well-known Elvis Tribute artist in Finland
but what reasons made him to create an career like that for himself?
This question has interest me and I've been trying my best to inspire my viewers
to think the question and maybe even to answer it.
Why I am a fan of Elvis Presley?
Did I become an Elvis-fan myself or did my relatives effect into me with their
habits
and cultures. My whole family; my Grandfather, mother, father and uncle are
fanatic Elvis-fans
and I guess you can believe, what kind of fan is a fanatic one!
Next I will continue showing Omar's celebrity-side for a while,
starting from the 90's and taking it all the way until today, the 2010's.
I want to also make clear for the viewers, what kind of person Omar is in his private
life. How Omar behaves in private as a "normal person"?
The question is; do we have anymore the Omar Kaeek, who moved into Finland in
early 90's?
When the movie is ready, it will give the answer for this question as well.
