>> I think one thing that I really left school with was kind of a very broad range of knowledge
in theater and in all of the different types of theater. And even just, you know, going
to UCI, going to a liberal arts school instead of a conservatory, just the range of classes
I had to take in all areas. Like my bio classes to my women's studies classes, my criminal
law classes that I took. I'm so thankful for that because I'm always surprised when I'll
find having that wide range of education, how much it benefits like everything within
my normal day life. And in as far as my work, as far as like character studies and whatnot,
you know. It just kind of broadens everything. And the more you have to pull from, the more
real and rich your characters and performance will be. And I think one thing that was wonderful
about my teachers in the drama department is that I feel that they really tried to make
us embrace that and be aware that you're never a finished product. Knowing that you always
have room to grow just kind of makes you live with an open mind and an open heart. And I
think that's the best thing you can do as an artist.
