I've always been interested in details or why is that happening or what makes this
that way. So I've always been a curious person
and I developed that idea and I found myself in the sciences.
Instead of following more of a research focus, I wanted to
share how I love to learn with other students,
so I started teaching. So my job is to
help people realize how much they already know and how good they are
at figuring things out. So as a teacher
what my whole purpose is is to design
lessons or activities or really opportunities
for students to put the pieces together themselves.
They have such a passion
to be an agent for change and such
a drive to make someone else figure life out
and be better because they're interacting with them. So that's my goal
is to encourage people to create such an environment in their classroom
that they value mistakes, that they learn from their learning, that they don't have
to be right,
they can just figure it out. And so my job is to
get them to recognize how they learn so that they can design lessons to help
other kids learn.
And so that's how I look at it, is to take what you have and what you're good at
and to figure out why you're good at it,
so that you can help someone else do that too.
