Well our committee is Trade, Commerce and Entrepreneurship
so we're really trying our best to
support start-ups, support micro and small enterprises.
If you want to follow us on our Facebook page, "Benigno Bam Aquino",
you'll see all of our bills there, all of our initiatives, and
I hope we can work together to really push for inclusive growth in the Philippines.
Hey, I'm Elmer from Facebook
and my only message to you guys is make sure you focus on building on or
solving real problems.
So it's not enough to dream up of really cool services,
but if it's not
a service that will solve a real problem,
it's really useless.
But the good news is that in everything you guys are doing around startups,
there is no such thing as hierarchy, and everything's a level playing field.
So break every rule,
move really fast, don't ask for permission,
don't call anyone Sir or Ma'am, just go do it
and I hope you guys succeed multiple times.
To all the entrepreneurs out there, as I said today at this PhilDev Symposium, the key thing is to focus on "Always be curious"
and at the same time how to balance that inner confidence with humility.
Because so much about it is
testing and iterating and failing and learning and getting back up and doing it all over again. So good luck! I'm very excited for you.
Alright
hello entrepreneurs, I'm here at the PhilDev Symposium
and over the past 3 days one of the key messages that PhilDev has
for you entrepreneurs is that in order to be innovative and have a really good product or a service,
it's important to
really understand
your customer and the technology that you're gonna offer them that is
truly differentiated. To do that,
it's important to really study hard and to really know your stuff.
That's the only way to be different. If you don't really know what's inside, how to innovate around it, then you're gonna be prone to your competitors overtaking you.
So study hard, work hard
and
listen to your customer! Okay, good luck guys!
So basically, to the entrepreneurs, keep the faith. You need to have
strong conviction that you can do it because the chances, well, it's very difficult to be an entrepreneur
so if there's any wavering,
you can't do that. You have to have the determination that
you'll die
first before you give up!
