Hi this is Stew for GIGABYTE
and I'd like to talk to you about 3D Power,
a new technology which we're launching on our new X79 series motherboards
These motherboards are the very first to feature an all digital PWM set
that comprises of a CPU and two memory controllers
using these controllers, and this app which you see behind me,
we're giving users complete control over the power delivery to their CPU
that includes the three main dimensions of power delivery...
Frequency, Phase and Voltage
This is our 3D POWER application
we've tried to make it useful for both mainstream and advanced users
for better control over the power delivery to the CPU
Here you can see our 3D cube, which has three faces
Showing us Voltage, Phase and Frequency...
If I click here on the Voltage panel,
We are taken to the Voltage sub menu
where we can see the options for the voltage controls of our motherboard
So here we can see for 'Turbo Voltage Response'
we have Standard, Fast, Turbo and Extreme options
Load line calibration, which you can use to avoid CPU Vdroop
Inside here you have CPU, also Integrated Memory Controller,
VTT, DDR A/B and DDR C/D of course
because we have four channel memory
by moving this slider like so...
and you can adjust the load line calibration very simply
If we click on this cube here we are taken back to the main menu
This time we can a look at Phase...
And here is the Phase sub-menu
We have CPU phase control
Various options in there..
Over Current Protection which we can adjust again
for the varioius sections CPU, Memory Controller, VTT and memory
And of course Thermal Protection
again for the same areas of the motherboard with the same slider control
Back to the main menu and we can look at Frequency...
Ok, for Frequency you've got several options there
again related to the areas of the PWM and the motherboard that I mentioned earlier
So there you have it...GIGABYTE 3D Power
Thanks for joining us to a look at our new 3D power Technology, bye bye....
