MAUREEN MCGUIRE: The change in marketing today
is very, very edgy.
I mean, everyone knows that the marketing tools that we
have at our disposal are changing.
So the new technologies and tools, the social media tools,
they are making marketers think very differently about
how they do marketing.
But, quite honestly, those tools, in turn, are changing
the way consumers consume information and buy products.
And so it comes full circle.
You have to understand the tools to do the marketing, but
you also have to understand the changes in consumer
behavior to be able to be very relevant to those consumers.
So there's a huge array of different things that are
happening in the market that is changing the way marketers
have to do marketing.
