The Spetsnaz 2003 Documentary - English subtitles - Part 2

In 1979 ,the Spetsnaz stormed the presidential palace of Hafizullah Amin and overthrew the goverment. During the takeover by the special forces, two officers,whose names are still classified, were killed in combat. Prior to the attack,it was calculated that the two officers shouldn't have been sent along but were approved anyway. Their deaths could've been one the reason why a new, secret side of medicine had been developed by the military that still has no official name for it. We were granted access to one of the most classified facility in the Russian Federation. It's official name is Extreme Medicine Centre. This facilities and a medical research conducted in here have pushed the Spetsnaz to the so-called unnatural state of capability. An odinary person,for instance, can survive in icy waters for no more than 4 mimutes. A professional, trained in here,can stay for at least half an hour with ease. There are numbers of military medications available to us today that are used exclusively by the Spetsnaz, to prevent any fatal outcome after recieving a radiation dose that is considered lethal to a human . Without the use of such medication,that kind of radiation dose leads to instant death. We call it -" The X-Ray casualty". There is also medicine that helps us slow the death of a Spetsnaz officer down for about 3 to 4 days after being fatally wounded. Is that a humane thing to do?... Well... we're not curing them... But a critically wounded soldier is still a part of a team and his team relies on his support ,on his rifle. So, he is enabled to continue being active and being useful to his team until their mission is completed. There have been accusations that the Spetsnaz creates Zombies. This is a totally wrong assumption,since a Zombie is incapable of thinking and analyzing, which renderes it useless for the Spetsnaz. This guys willingly take risks in everyday life. It would sound cruel but their lives are just a tool to complete a mission and that's the Spetsnaz law. This is a typical exersice that looks more like some circus tricks we see on TV but looking closely becomes apparent that this are simple rules of physics being used to a soldier's advantage The same physics that we were more then happy to forget once we'd left High School. It just goes to show that good education is much,much more important then bear knuckles. Even a simple task would be impossible to a Zombie "... now we frisk him... my hands are free... I am using the rifle and a sling as handcuffs. He's restrained and going nowhere You're in control and he's used as a shield if needed." We were only allowed to film it,because with potential recruits, a group of US Army instructors were invited along. We'll take this slow,so no one's health is damaged... The Spetsnaz didn't want us to film this at all "The Art of the Elite" is a Non-contact fight. Those who had trouble believing it were left without any explanation nor any proof that it was a real deal. The Spetsnaz has already tried this in combat and were satisfied with the results. It may seem strange but a non-contact fight is accessible to any human being on this planet. And that is why the "Know-How" is a closely guarded secret. Someone from the group of US Marines was quite sceptical about this method at first, so the drill instructor Lt.-Col.Lavrov demonstrated it on the American. A litlle secret "trick" out of the whole arsenal,seemed to do wanders for a friendly banter.,, ,,,Years of traing turn this "tricks" into one whole package of knowledge.The knowledge that is used by the Spicial forces around the globe to carry out their operations without leaving no trail of their activity, nothing that might lead back to them or incriminate them in any way. Everything must look authentic, as if a natural course of events has taken place. The world will never know their identities,will never know anything about their sacrifices they make for us. At best, the Special forces get a pat on back. At worst, they get someone else's crimes attributed to them. And when something bad happenes , everyone is quick to blame the Special Forces. Whether that was a terrorist activity gone unpunished or a high-profile assassination which is impossible to carck , they are criticized and "crucified" first. However,everyone forgets that they are people too. They also have families,children , aging parents... and a miserable paycheck. This is probably the only secret that they couldn't hide. That's why we often see them leaving the force for private security ,business sector and some even end up in the criminal world... We started talking and he told me that there are former officers of the Spetsnaz in the underworld. At the end of our conversation I felt resentment towards him.I did. And I know he felt the same way about himself. Because, unlike a mindless criminal thug,who doesn't know any better,this man knew what he was doing and what he was doing it for . It was all for the money. He understands that he's finished as a person and individual. He still tries to fight it inside but he knows that he's crossed the line and coming back is no longer possible That's an officer,my comrade with whom we fought side by side in Afhganistan. The recruitment centre has come up with a new application form for potential recruits and there are paticular questions that he [recruit] must answer before he's considered. One of the questions is,why do you want to join the Spetsnaz? You have to tick the box to one of the following options. Option one:You want to join the Special Force because you are a pathological ***. Option two: You want to join the Special Force because you love your country. Option three: You want to join the Special Force because you satisfied with the Special Force's salary. Option four: You want to join the Special Force because you are not good at anything . The most popular option is number three, regarding the Spetsnaz salary. Love for one's country is a wonderful and noble thing but everyone has their own understanding of that love. For instance,if an officer's mother was evicted from her apartment by a f*cking bureaucrat because she has no money to pay for it any more,then that love might desapear in a second. It was a hypothetical example,of course. Pathological *** should be in the hospital,preferably in chains. People who are not good at anything are degenerates by definition,so they wouldn't able to join the Force anyway. So, the only objective argument that is used most of the time is a reference to the Spetsnaz salary. And this means that the vast majority,if not all of them, join the Spetsnaz out of love for the country, since that paycheck that officers get is embarrassing and pathetic. And I,as a Russian person and an officer,am deeply ashamed that in this great and beautiful country with such a rich history,no one can find any money to pay the guys,who would lay down their lives for it. I love my country,it's true. The confidential statistic shows that only a small number of officers leave the Spetsnas and most of them only to join their comrades who were killed in action. The Spetsnaz is a service,not a servant. They serve their country and their ungreatful Art, Art of War.Their success stories will naver be made public, but the failures will be broadcasted around the globe And the Spetsnaz will take responssibility for them. For yars now , they have been accused of allowing the notorious terrorists live comfortably in Chechnya. However,nobody stops to think that may be the only reason why it's happening was because the Special force has never been given the order. After all,they are only a tool to make things happen. And so are their lives. Their ungreatful master is the one who decides whether to use them or not,and sometimes tosses this guys's lives out on the street without hesitation. Alas,not everything in this world is up to the Spetsnaz. They are just the guys who can do anything.
