I'm so excited that you're back to join us!
We're here at the science lab and ready to learn!
I think you should put your goggles on before you touch that!
Okay class, we're going to do some science!
Whoa!
Whoa!
Ms. Twinkle! How are you doing that?
I'm adding adjectives to nouns.
It's quite simple!
Adjectives?
What are adjectives?
Adjectives are words or phrases
that describe a person, place, or thing.
Follow me!
Let's say you have a noun
And it's pretty boring.
Or maybe it's an unclear subject.
Too many things to which
You could be referring.
Then just describe the kind of object!
Say the shape, age, color, size,
the quality, the origin, the purpose
or the quantity!
Now you're using
Adjectives!
Telling us 'what kind,' or 'how many,' 'which one.. it is'!
Just like elements combine to change the compound of a molecule,
adjectives can be combined with nouns to change, clarify,
or specify what you're talking about!
The big and scary monsters
That hide in closets
Are cute and fuzzy
With the right words.
Just watch how fast
A few coins becomes a million,
Before you even know what's occurred!
And if I said 'a beaker,'
You'd ask me, 'which one?'
And I would say, 'The glowing green one!'
If I asked you to describe this song
Then you could say that it was funky
or you'd say it's..
SQUARE!
Now you're using..
Adjectives!
Telling us 'what kind,' or 'how many,' 'which one.. it is!'
Adjectives!
Giving us descriptions so we know
What kind of a thing that it is!
Very good class! Now..
This song is.. fun!
But it's getting very...quiet
And now it's.. done!
