Hi I’m Monica from Close To My Heart.
On this episode of Artbooking Made Easy
I'll show you how to make works of art
using the celebration themed keys
of the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.
These keys are chalk full of unique shapes
that can be mixed and matched for a variety of looks,
you can use them over and over
and your projects will still look fresh and new.
Let’s get our party started by looking at a few samples.
This layout was made in the honor of a birthday,
if you take a look at page 86
of the Artbooking cartridge booklet
you will find the key that makes this happy sentiment
and all the other shapes on this layout,
see the way this title is repeated on the page?
This is such a simple yet
eye catching way to make any title,
use the same word over and over in rows like so.
This happy shape was cut using
real dial size at 1 1/4 inches
this is what it looks like when cut proportionately
to the 11 inch overlay or the full 12 by 12 layout.
This number border is also cut
using real dial size
but here’s what it looks like when cut
at the linked size of 11 inches.
See how small it is?
This border is obviously used for birthday layout here
but wouldn’t it be so fitting for a preschool layout?
My son Jonah just started school
and I can just picture him on a layout made with this border
and the coordinated photo frames.
A photo frame is actually what is used here
to highlight the number three.
You see the same photo frame on the left page of the layout
at a bigger size and attached at a different orientation.
The smaller one is cut at 3 inches real dial size,
the larger at 5 inches real dial size.
When the frame is cut at the linked size
of 11 inches it looks like this.
I love the cake and ice cream sentiment featured here
on the right page cut at 1 ¼ inches real dial size
from silver glitter paper,
it really adds a glitzy pop to the page.
Once again this is how it looks cut
proportionate to the 11 inch overlay.
There are a million things you can do with the Artbooking cartridge
to make your celebration layouts even more festive.
Look at all these fun ideas,
