7.6 knots, good average
the wind is still coming from North-Est
30 knots
the sea is still agitated
if with we have a blackout with the battery system
and if all the navigation system and GPS doesn't work, we'll have a written trace
and then we can start a route estimation to arrive somewhere
we'll pick the last point that we know and sure about
and then we'll start to redo a detailed route
that's the best moment of the watch
then when you leave it, you have to wake up the colleagues
then when you leave it, you have to wake up the colleagues
the sun isn't up yet, it's time to take over
good luck guys
Lucas and I are taking the watch
we assure that the boat goes in the wright direction, with the good sails and that we don't make any collision
we do that for 2 hours and then we have 4 hours free
we do that for 2 hours and then we have 4 hours free
we're in the feroes and we met the local walking club
thanks to our frien Jean-Michel Huctin who prepared our arrival
10km walking up to a more or less 400 meters summit
it's going to be great
on the island over there, 2 families are living in a few houses
we don't know really know what they do...
after soaking our shoes, and chasing the gigantic Faroe rabbit
we always come back to the weather forecast which particularly ennoying
so we are going to leave in direction of Island
we are checking the winds, how it's going to to turn
it's the new report of the day, it changed a bit since yesterday
it's a bit stronger
we have to decide if we take this weather opportunity or the next one
it's always the same thing, we have to synthesize the different forecasts
we have to make some choice
we have to make some choice
it's official, we don't leave today
the forecast was anouncing some peaks at 40-45 knots coming from the north
during this stop we prepared the boat to the difficult navigation to come
and it was also an oppurtinuty to relax
it didn't finish as expected for everybody...
we are now heading in direction of Iceland!
