I needed a table, dining room table, the likes of which I'd never seen anywhere else except
in my own house. And I was trying to describe it, and I couldn't quite figure out what
style this was or what... It was twenty-five or thirty years since I'd seen that thing.
And my father's old sister suddenly turned up that she had it, that table. And I ran
down to her house and said, "We'll buy it from you." She was delighted. The thing
weighed a ton. I said, "What style is this?" She said, "Well they call it Spanish Jacobean."
We put it on the stage, and that's what we called it, Spanish Jacobean. The table
is important in the play.
