Getting in library ebook for your nook
HD or HD Plus.
You will need to have your nook HD or HD Plus,
your library card, a wireless connection to the Internet
and the OverDrive Media Console
up registered and installed. Wake up your nook
by touching your finger to your symbol on the nook and moving it to the
unlock symbol in the bottom middle of the screen.
Let's make sure we're connected to the wireless by touching the wireless symbol
in the upper right hand corner.
Make sure the wifi is on.
If you need to connect to a wireless network
touch "Change"
You should now see a list of networks available to you.
Touch the wireless network you would like to connect to.
Enter the password if needed and touch
"Connect".
You are now connected to the Internet. Touch the
n button to go back to the home screen.
Now touch "Apps".
Now touch "OverDrive Media Console".
This is the page you
should see when you open OverDrive Media Console.
If you do not see this page, tap the icon
in the right-hand corner that looks like three dots
and touch "Go to Bookshelf". From here
touch the get books symbol.
Now touch "Add library".
You can search for your library by entering its name or the name of your
community
or your zip code and pressing "Search". You can also browse
by pressing "Browse for Libraries".
Select your library from the list of libraries.
You should see the Ohio Digital Library listed.
Touch " The Ohio Digital Library" to proceed.
You can either search for a book by touching in the search box
and typing.
Or by using the menu. Today let's look at Christian fiction
in the menu.
To find something to check out right now let's touch
"Available now".
You can tell an item is available if the
icon in the upper right hand corner is dark. For example
Blue Moon promise is available. Touching on the cover of a book
tells us more about it.
To borrow this book, let's start by touching "Borrow".
Now we need to enter your library's name. Type the name of your library into the text box
or touch "View Full List" to see all the
libraries on the list.
Now enter your library card number and in some cases
your pin number and touch "Sign
in"
Touch "Download" to download the eBook. This may take several moments depending
on your connection speed.
When the ebook has downloaded you will see a capital
O with a check mark on it at the top of the screen.
Now touch the icon in the upper right
hand corner of the screen.
Touch "Bookshelf".
You will now see the ebooks on your nook. Touch the cover of the book
you would like to read.
Here is your ebook.Swipe your finger across the screen to turn the pages.
