Steve Garfield: All right, so tell us who you are.
David Pogue: David Pogue. One minute. I'm going on stage at Harvard.
Steve Garfield: Excellent. So, you're using the Flip Mino HD. What tricks have you learned
about it? Like sometimes you have to hold it close to get the sound, but you want to
hold it far away to get them clear.
David Pogue: Right. It's a catch-22. It's more than that. It's like a catch-27.
Steve Garfield: So, what's the secret?
David Pogue: I don't know.
Voiceover: Depending on the model, cameras start to focus at different distances.
Steve Garfield: Is there one?
David Pogue: You use it more than I do. I don't know. I think stability is a big thing.
I actually find the mic does okay. I did the whole CNBC video using nothing with the Flip.
I think you can get 5 or 6 feet away if it's quiet. I mean this is a bad situation to do
video right here.
Steve Garfield: Oh, right. Quickly, what's the secret to online video?
David Pogue: Oh, ask Steve, man. He does a lot more than I do.
Steve Garfield: Okay. Thank you.
