There is no noise in the city market.
There is no quietness in the Himalayas.
It's all inside of us.
When we go to a very quiet place, we can hear all this rumbling going through our mind.
"ooooo"
All those sounds, all those thoughts, all that endless talking,
endless pictures.
Suddenly, we take notice of it.
Yoga brings us
into a space where we can listen
to whatever we have inside.
Inhale deeply
HeYaaaaaam
HeYaaaaaam
HeYaaaaaam
The vibration of the "OM" in the room,
it gave me a lot of focus. It was a lot more focussed than
when I don't do the mantras, or
when I don't use my sound -my sound ya, the sound is pretty intense, it's just...
it makes it
a more focussed
experience, I think.
I really loved
how slow the movements were.
I could really feel every movement
and it really made me
focussed.
The focus is what's giving you the ability.
If you focus you can just tune in.
So how can we be more "in tune"?
Practice. It's always about practice.
At the highest level, I would say it's just
to be in the present.
This is what we practice.
But it's not that simple.
So we start by practicing physically.
Trying to balance ourselves
on the gross level.
And then,
we try to incorporate our breath
which is
much more subtle.
And then we incorporate our
feelings and thoughts
and we learn to be
in the present.
Oh, I think I know exactly why some people think that
"oms" and spirituality and yoga is all about... "mumbo jumbo and spirituality"
I think, when I was like 10 or 12 or something like that, someone told me "If you feel truly confident with yourself,
go out there and scream your name out loud"
and I said "that's not a problem"
I went out there and screamed myself out loud
I said "ROMI!" out loud, and I felt great.
And before I started going to yoga I remembered that I went to a place that was quiet
there was no one out there, just me.
And I stood there, and I couldn't say my name
not even quietly
And I think that when you go there and people do the "oms", 0:04:20.519,0:04:24.110 you don't feel comfortable, you don't connect. It's because you don't allow yourself.
Either you feel embarrassed or you feel like...
you physically, cannot hold, you're not going to say it right
people are going to laugh at you, or maybe you're going to hold it too long and then people are going to hear you
or you have so many different things that don't matter.
And once you sit there and let other people do it, you don't have to do it yourself.
After to or three times, you're going to start quietly and then you're going to say it a bit louder and a bit louder
and then one day, you're going to hear yourself
saying it, and everyone's around you
and it's just going to be in harmony together with everyone.
All of those sounds that we have inside of us,
and we don't want to listen to them right now
make us nervous.
We always have those thoughts and we want them to stop, stop, stop.
But then if we take a bit of time, and we listen to them
so they don't have to repeat themselves. We heard them.
And then,
they're leaving us
continuing on their way.
And we have more...
peace of mind.
To listen to ourselves, to what is deep in our heart.
To listen to my heart.
What do I want?
