Hi. I'm David Clemen on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to learn how to draw characters.
Okay, now that we have a body, we cannot just go around with any clothes on in our character.
So we're going to continue on this guy right here with the skinny legs and the big belly
and the bib on. So If I wanted to add clothes to him, he already has really skinny pants
on but says he doesn't like pin stripes. He likes maybe a denim jean. So we can just kind
of cross hatch here, and kind of shade it in a little bit more. We can give him cuffs,
kind of like this. I'll finish cross hatching here. I can add a belt that's sitting under
his belly. Okay, and that's basically just a rectangle and then you just want to put
the belt loop there. And you can scroll in and fill in the belt really dark and go like
this. And say he's done eating and now he's going to put his jacket back on. So he's got
a collar shirt underneath. And then he's got to go back to work, so he needs to put his
big, wide tie on. And then shade that tie in there. Okay, and he works in an office
so he's got a pocket here where he keeps his pens, his glasses. Put that there. And say
he's got a suit. Maybe he works at a bank or something like that. So we actually have
to put a jacket over that. So what we're going to do is bring the lapel down on each side,
and we'll cover up his shirt. And it's going to be a wide suit because he's a wide man.
And we'll bring it in crossovers here. I'll just shape the suit around his big belly.
And then we'll probably put some buttons out here and buttons out here and we'll shade
in. Maybe it's a pin stripe suit. Okay, okay, and then maybe he likes wing tips. So they're
going to have laces. You can just do crosses there. Okay, and put the heel of the shoe,
and you can color the front, color the back. Now he's ready to go back to work with a fancy
new suit on.
