So we just had the draw portion of California Lowball. Now it's time to look at what happens
after the draw. Let's look at the hand on my left. The hand on the dealer's left, which
would be the first hand to act after the draw. And, it actually is not a good hand. And,
that's because it's got a jack in it and it's got a pair. So, even though this player caught
the bug, and it would help him complete a nice low hand. The bug acting as a two at
this point. Alas! This pair is bad. So, he can only play aggressive if he wants to bluff.
You, on the other hand, have what's called an eight low. That is good news. So, good
stuff. No need to look at the other two hands at the table. What you do in this portion
is, the person to the left of the deal is the first to act. He doesn't like his hand,
he's going to check. You, you're going to bet. You're going to say, "I bet two black
chips." And, somehow you get calls all around. I don't know why he's staying in, but he does.
We'll discuss what happens next in the next segment.
