Now we want to take our lampshade with the decorations, and we want to roll it and fasten
it to the opposite side. The way we do this is we're going to have to make some points,
and then make some holes, and we're going to need to measure the height of our sheet
of plastic that we're using, and we're going to need four points or four holes that we're
going to place the fasteners inside. So what we would do is we would take an inch, make
a point on top going down one inch, and a point on the bottom going down one inch, and
let's say our sheet was a width of ten inches. So after we make our points, each one in from
the top and the bottom, we're left with eight inches in the middle. Then we would take that
eight inches, we would divide it by three, because we want to make two points, and if
we make two points, that means we're going to intersect it into three different sections.
So we take the eight inches, divide it by three, which equals 2.6 inches. So from the
one inch on the top we go over 2.6 inches, making 3.6 inches of the entire width, and
make another mark. And then from 3.6 inches, we move over another 2.6 inches, and we make
another mark, and that will make two even marks in between the points that we've made
already on the top and the bottom. So we need, all together, four points, we're going to
make four holes, and we go ahead and measure it by first making the top point and the bottom
point, and then dividing the middle into an even section. And we're going to go ahead
and do the same thing on the opposite side, making sure that it lines up, and once we
know that we're sure that it lines up, we can go ahead and make our holes and put the
fasteners in, our gold metal fasteners, it will look really nice. So this is the way
to make points on our plastic sheet, and then go ahead and make holes to fasten the ends
together.
