Hi, I am Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb. You know an herb we have that is often used
in the yard and garden, is that of cat nip. Now yes, you think of cats. Cats go crazy
for cat nip and they really do. If you have ever had one in your back yard garden, all
the neighborhood cats will come by and they'll look at it, they'll sometimes paw at its,
sometimes chew on it and often, they'll roll on it as well. Which may not be that good
for the cat nip. But, it's one of those plants that you can also use yourself. Just like
other mints, you can make tea from it. You can use some of the fragrant leaves in different
satchels and things of that nature. Or you make want to have just some fragrance. So
you may go crazy for cat nip as well. It does like a good area of good sun and also make
sure that you are watering it on a regular basis. If it gets too dry, it will tend to
go to flower real quick. And then it may not last as long as you would like. Make sure
you fertilize it with a good water soluble probably every three or four weeks. Or if
you are using a time released fertilizer, probably once or twice when you first put
it the plant in should make it do well. Cat nip is a good for you and your yard and garden.
For on gardening, I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb.
