Would you like to brew K-Cups and your own coffee
using your Keurig VUE single-serve coffeemaker?
I bet you would, and we'll show you how you can today,
here on Aromacup.com.
Hi everyone, I'm Brian with Aromacup.com, and thank you
as always for joining me here in my virtual coffee shop,
brought to you by Aromacup.com.
In today's video I'm going to be giving you an overview
of the K2V-Cup by EZ-Cups.
Now this is a cool way to be able to brew your own coffee
using your Keurig single-serve coffee brewer in the VUE style.
Now, the added bonus here is that you're going to be able
to use Keurig K-Cups using this converter cup as well.
So let's dive in and talk about how it works
and how you can use it to achieve great results with coffee brewing.
Let's start off showing you what's in the box for the K2V-Cup by EZ-Cups.
Now this is the packaging, pretty straightforward.
What you're going to find inside of it is going to be the K2V-Cup.
It looks pretty unassuming.
It's just this simple brown plastic,
But what you're going to find inside of it is going to be
two separate parts.
The first part is this green inner shell.
Now this cup is where you are going to put your own coffee
when you're going to be brewing your own ground coffee.
It's pretty straightforward.
We've seen a lot of different options like this before.
You just simply open it up, fill with coffee, and then you have
this inlet at the top that's going to, of course,
douse the coffee with water and brew your coffee.
Even more impressive here, however, is the second half of the K2V-Cup.
That's the brown part right here.
Now this looks fairly similar to a VUE pack, you're going to notice.
It has this same sort of inlet on the front side of it here.
It's the same shape, but you're not going to put a VUE-pack
into this part of the K2V-Cup.
You're going to put a Keurig K-Cup into this.
Now, we've talked about this before.
The beauty of K-Cups right now is that there are literally
hundreds of different K-Cup options that you can take advantage of
when you are brewing coffee at home.
And that's because the patent has expired on the K-Cups,
so there's many different companies making different K-Cups
that you can make use of.
So, the way that you're going to use this to brew a K-Cup
is very, very straightforward.
You're going to notice that on the inside of this K2V-Cup is a needle,
which is very similar to the ones we've seen in K-Cup machines.
This needle's going to puncture our K-Cup.
And I'm going to show you how this works.
We're just going to take our K-Cup
and we're going to put it into the K2V-Cup,
and we're just going to press down with a little bit of force,
because your going to hear it pop.
We've now punctured the K-Cup and you can see I've lost the pressure
that was in it, because the foil is flat now.
And now I'm ready to start brewing.
Now I have found that sometimes you need to be a little bit
kind of selective about how you're putting your K-Cup in,
move it around, press until it pops and gets punctured,
and then you're good to go.
Once you've done that however, you're ready to brew.
And it's really easy because all you're going to do at that point
is open up your VUE machine, take your K2V-Cup,
place it into your VUE machine's brew basket, because it only fits
in one way into the brew basket, and then you're going to choose
what you're going to brew.
If you have a preset function and setting on your VUE machine
that you like to use, all you have to do is press the brew button.
Now, the question everyone's going to be asking me is
how's the quality of the coffee from a VUE-pack versus the quality
of the coffee that is brewed using a K-Cup in the K2V-Cup.
I can tell you I've side-by-side brewed the two.
I've brewed a VUE-pack using this Starbucks Medium House Blend.
And I've also brewed the same coffee, this House Blend Medium in a K-Cup,
but doing both of these brews from the VUE machine that I'm using today.
And really, I could not tell any difference between them side-by-side.
Of course they are the same blend.
They're from the same coffee maker, which is Starbucks.
They're from the same coffeemaker machine, which is Keurig.
And I really did not notice any difference.
It also brews just as fast as it would if you were using a VUE-pack.
In fact, this may have brewed a little slower because I'm using
the strong setting on my VUE machine today.
But as you can see, this cup is a cup of coffee brewed making use
of the K2V-Cup in a K-Cup, that has been added to the K2V-Cup,
and I can tell you that it smells great,
there's nothing off about the flavor.
The heat is awesome when you're using a VUE machine,
because they do brew much hotter than K-Cup-based machines,
and the flavor is also quite good.
So I haven't been able to see a major difference, at all.
Where I can see a major difference is where you're going to save money,
because K-Cups are much less expensive than VUE-packs.
So if you're looking to save a little money but you have a VUE machine,
you can get yourself K-Cups.
Again, you have a large variety to choose from.
Save a little bit of money and be able to brew them in your VUE machine
by making use of the K2V-Cup.
Cleanup is real simple, of course.
All you have to do is take out the K2V-Cup,
and luckily it's really easy to remove the pack
because all you need to do is grab it from the sides right here
and then you can toss your K-Cup and you're good to go.
You can brew again, or of course, you have your cup of coffee
and you can get on with your day.
So let's talk about pricing on the K2V-Cup by EZ-Cups.
Well, it coming in at about $19.99. That's the suggested retail price.
Of course if you want to find out how you can get it,
check out the link here in the description of our video,
visit us on Aromacup.com,
where you can find some information on the K2V-Cup.
Of course you can visit their website at EZ-Cups.com
to find out some more information.
Coming in at $19.99, not a bad price.
The only thing I would tell you is you're probably going to
need two of them, because that way you can set yourself up to really
quickly brew a couple cups of coffee.
It's great for if you have a busy morning, you have friends over,
something like that,
and you just need to brew a couple cups really quickly.
Get yourself a couple.
Really, for $19.99 apiece, not a bad price point,
and a great way to be able to save some money because, of course,
using those K-Cups, you're definitely going to save money
because they are much less expensive that VUE-packs.
Now remember guys, you also have the option to be able to brew
your own ground coffee using the K2V-Cup,
and that's done with this add-on right here.
We didn't cover that today because I think that what most people are going
to be interested in is the K-Cup option that can do with the K2V-Cup.
So there you go, my bottom line,
I think this is a great addition to any at-home coffee shop.
I think you guys should definitely check it out.
