Hello store owners and developers!
Pssssssssst not too loud .. this is an inofficial announcement of our new OSCOMMERCE.TV channel
where you can submit video tutorials and screencasts on how to setup, administrate, and further
develop online stores with osCommerce Online Merchant.
Our users love to search our forum and read long topics on particular issues .. now they
can actually watch videos and see how their problems are solved and also watch new and
exciting features that are currently in development for future releases.
The OSCOMMERCE.TV channel is now open for submissions in our community forum, with Gary
Burton, who recently sold his soul becoming a team member, having already worked on 2 video tutorials.
Community members can reply with feedback to the video and also give the video a rating.
To ensure a decent standard level of quality for your enjoyment, video submissions must
meet the following guidelines:
Submissions must be uploaded to YouTube. Other video hosting services may be supported in
the future. Videos must be created by yourself or you have the permission to submit the video.
It's not 1888 so videos must contain qualitative video and audio speech in English. And finally,
videos must ofcourse show a core feature or Add-On of osCommerce Online Merchant.
Videos can easily be submitted by starting a new topic and posting the YouTube URL in
the body of the topic. YouTube URLs are automatically converted to a YouTube player for direct viewing
pleasure. New submissions must first be approved before becoming publicly available for the
community to enjoy.
The reason why this is an inofficial announcement of OSCOMMERCE.TV is to first build a collection
of videos to be available for the official announcement. Lets work on this together with
a 30 day challenge to work on tutorial videos and to make the official announcement on the
21st June 2013.
We have big plans to move the submissions from the forum to a new dedicated OSCOMMERCE.TV
website to showcase the best of the best video submissions, but that is for the near future.
So help out and take part in the 30 day challenge to be part of the launch. Lets follow the
Lets Play phenomenon with a Lets Sell series.
Have fun!
