One of, another one of my favorite tools to use during braiding are these little nifty
handle combs. These are two different thicknesses right here. As you can see from the profile
this one's a little bit thicker. When it comes to the thicker combs I just really like them
because it makes it more comfortable to grip and these little handles with this wide part
here make it really easy on your palm to hold it in there which of course, like I said,
is very comfortable and it helps you not stress your hands out too much when you're doing
small braids and doing a lot of parting and a lot of combing. You can really tire yourself
fairly well. These teeth are quite flexible which makes it go through the hair fairly
easily because they can bend to get down on any knot or anything that they're going for,
and because of this angled piece right here it works fairly well for parting as well.
Now with this thinner one, it's good for sliding between your fingers so if you're trying to
cut hair and slide it between your fingers it works great for that and you also have
the handle. Also, the reason why I like these is because they have this nice little curve
right here and under here, so if you're combing you can just rest your finger right here and
have something to do, similar to eating with a fork when you're trying to cut with a fork,
it's the same way. And these teeth are also flexible, but these are a little bit thin.
These are thicker than these which I prefer thicker teeth unless I'm really, really trying
to do a small braid and really get every tiny, tiny little nap or any kind of tangle out
of there, but I like the handle combs just because they're really easy on the hands.
The thinner ones are great for between the fingers, but these are just great for holding
in your hand for comfort to really work through hair gently and easily.
