What we choose to eat and where we choose
to get our food from is probably one of the most important social issues, cultural issues,
environmental issues that we have right now. What we choose to eat, affects our health.
Where we get it from affects the health of the local communities and the health of the
environment. It affects much more than what you are having for dinner. At our farm, we
take to heart very much the principles of organic growing. We put a lot of love and
concern in the way we grow things. One of the great things about growing on this small
scale is we can grow lots of neat little varieties of thing that you wouldn't see at your typical
grocery store. Farming to me is a way to connect lots of different parts of my life. My concern
for the environment. My desire for a stronger community. My belief that we all should have
access to healthy food. My name is Brian Lapinski and along with my wife Kristin, we are the
owner operators of Down to Earth Farm, a small sustainable farm on the west side of Jacksonville.
So, please come check us out. You can find us online at down to earth jax dot com. We
love to have you come out to the Riverside Arts Market or the Beaches Green Market to
come see the lovely vegetables that we've grown for you.
