Hi this is Marty, and this is Triangle Startup Factory CrowdFunde day 5.
We didn't do a video yesterday because we had a great meeting in the morning with Adam
Schultz and really rethought a lot of our assumptions.
Adam helped us see what might really bring value and what might not.
Today, Phil, Frank and I came in and thought about the value proposition. What we realized
is that we need to be able to take a campaign from a Kickstarter and move it to Moon Audio
or Vestique or Triangle Startup Factory and then have a conversation about that cool thing.
Then we'll ask questions "do you think this will get funded?" and "give us your rating"
and "give us your comments" so that we can have a conversation around these cool ideas
that are happening out there in the crowdfunding space. That converstion happens on Moon udio
thanks to CrowdFunde. Then what happens is Moon Audio is able to
use that conversation to be able to manage their mechandise, they're able to link to
similar things they already sell, it really helps build the reputation and authority of
Moon Audio. The other key idea that we got to was tapping
into the engineer in all of us. Figuring out a way to help have the conversations and have
them in a place that's relevent to the merchant to tap into this "engineer in all of us".
That's the "tinkerer" idea. That everybody has this aspiration and finds the things that
people are working on fascinating and so it's great content it's highly viral content.
As Phil said it's kind of disguising user generated content as business intelligence.
That's a really brilliant way to think about what crowdfunding is doing. It's disguising
user generated content as business intelligence. Thanks, we'll see you on Monday!
