Marriage or Civil Union in four easy steps.
First, find a performer.
The performer, such as a minister or judge, will conduct the ceremony.
For a list of performers go to marriage.ehawaii.gov.
You can enter in a filter, such as civil union, to narrow your search.
When you find and schedule your performer you can move on.
Now fill out an online application.
Fill in your information and submit the application.
You must indicate the island of the ceremony for a list of agents to be provided at the
end of your application.
Next you have to see an agent.
The agent will issue you a license. The ceremony must be within 30 days from when the license
is issued.
When the ceremony is over the performer confirms the ceremony by using their online account.
You have to wait three to five business days from when the performer confirms then you
can access your temporary certificate online.
The locator ID is also known as the authorization code on your receipt.
You will be mailed your certified copy about three weeks after your information is received
and approved.
The steps are easy so get started today at marriage.ehawaii.gov.
