Hey guys,
Unknown Knight here.
Today will be an achievement guide video, on how to do the Big Bank’s
“It Takes a Pig to Kill a Pig”
and we will be doing this solo.
In this guide we will make use of the game’s mechanics to do this
but I don’t want to get into the complexities
so we’ll just follow the strategy that I’ll lay out later.
First off, we need to drop Floyd the pig onto a cop or enemy.
If you have no idea who or what Floyd is,
he’s the big piggy bank that holds the Beast drill
when you do Big Bank on loud
with the default vault breaching option.
Normally, how players get this achievement done
is to have 1 player sitting on the crane
while the other players defend themselves at the bottom of the stairs
right in the centre of the hall.
They then signal for the crane player to drop Floyd.
But this method has you waiting for the perfect moment and is unreliable,
which means the drop might miss and you’ll end up doing it all over again.
But let me show you today how to get it done by yourself,
though this method works with any amount of players.
One thing you should note
is that this achievement isn’t restricted by difficulty
so we are going to do this on normal.
Ok so I’m going to share the full strategy now in point form
so it will save some time
for those of you who are just curious about how I do it
or don’t have the time or attention to watch the full video.
So first up, we are going to make use of the game’s hostage rescue mechanic,
where after an assault wave finishes,
hostage rescue teams come in and rescue hostages.
With this we can lure enemies to where we want them to.
So tie as many civilians at the spot where Floyd lands.
Then delay the assault for as long as possible while we are doing that.
This has to do with one of the game’s mechanics
but we will not cover that in this video.
Just make sure that you are away from the hostages
when the assault wave starts.
Next, survive the wave so that we can trigger hostage rescue teams to come in.
And when they start rescuing hostages
(which we can tell by the hostage counter dropping),
we drop Floyd
and there’s your achievement.
If that’s all you wanted to know, well you’re done here.
I thank you for watching, so like, subscribe and comment, follow my Twitter if you want.
But I’m going to walk you through the entire process so stay tuned.
Alright, so here’s a clip of the hostage rescue team coming right in,
you can see the hostages right at the edge of the staircase.
Now let’s focus on the hostage counter.
So now we understand how hostage rescue teams work, let’s go through the full run.
I’ll provide commentary and speed up some of the boring parts as well.
Alright so here I’m taking the silent alarm asset
to delay the assault by 30 seconds.
I’m also bringing 2 maxed out ECMs for another 1 minute of delay.
Ok, so going loud, drop an ECM and start tying up some civs.
They don’t have to be dead centre, it’s just a habit of mine.
So here’s the next critical part,
make sure that we are away from the hostages
before the assault starts.
If you have more than 1 player,
the rest can stay on the 2nd floor and just defend themselves
until the assault is over.
Let’s make our way up to the crane and get Floyd ready.
In the meantime we can kill some cops to make the wave end faster.
And watch out for the snipers.
You don’t have to use a sniper rifle but it makes things easier.
Now that the assault wave is over,
we can expect the HRTs to come in.
So as before,
we watch for the hostage counter to drop
and then we release Floyd.
Let’s head down to see how many we've got,\
And we have 1, 2 and 3 cops caught in our hostage trap.
And for the final part,
let's see how it looks like from another view.
And that's it for today,
I hope this video helps you, so like, subscribe, comment
or follow my Twitter if you want though I don't do much there.
And thank you again for watching,
Unknown Knight here,
signing off.
