Hi there it's Roger at SwiftCloud, and in this quick video we're going to show you how
to hook up your output channels for marketing by channel.
That's different than by sequence although the process is essentially the same, by sequence.
The difference is that sequence is going out based on certain criteria being met.
Sequence marketing is typically an autoresponder.
Somebody opts in, and then they get something on day 1, on day 7, on day 14, on day 21,
something like that.
And it's designed to send out a specific message to a specific person at a specific time.
We call them sequences because there are different types of triggers.
Opting into a landing page may be one of several possible events, it could be that you added
them manually because you met them at a party.
It could be that they have a calendar event with you and so you want to send them marketing
or a reminder message prior to the event happening.
Nonetheless, that's sequence marketing.
Channel marketing on the other hand is all about broadcasting by channel, and everyone
who's connected to that channel sees the same message at the same time.
So, if they follow you on twitter, when you broadcast to twitter, all of your twitter
followers see your message at the same time.
That's basically channel-based broadcasting.
You can also do that to email lists, SMS lists, your facebook fan page, something like that.
First thing you do is go to Campaigns by Channel.
If you do not have any campaigns, go ahead and create one.
