I'm just so glad that it worked out, I guess.
They've been jet setting around the world promoting their latest film Noah, and now
they've touched down in the Big Apple.
Yeah, Emma Watson, Douglas Booth and co hit the red carpet for the biblical blockbuster's
premiere in New York.
Emma was looking gorgeous as ever and revealed she actually fought quite hard for the role.
I mean, Darren did put me through my paces. He gave me scenes that I hadn't ever seen
before and give me five minutes to look at them, and I had to go through the scene. I
actually had to cry in my audition as well, which is reasonably hard. Yeah, I just really
wanted the role. I loved the project so much right from the beginning, and I'm just so
glad that it worked out.
The movie has faced a lot of criticism, but Emma and Russell Crowe said they expected
the backlash.
I knew going in that there was going to be some criticism, but I didn't realise it was
going to be so strong.
I mean, I expected a lot of it honestly. I think all adaptions, biblical adaptions, kind
of receive that kind of attention, but I don't know. I just felt confident that once people
saw the film for themselves, that they would feel that the film was actually sensitive
and inclusive and exciting and that it should be on the screen.
We also couldn't take our eyes off heartthrob Douglas Booth, who said it was a great set
to work on.
It was intense. Yeah, the mood was intense. Also, it was a lot of fun as well because
we had time off, and I've known Emma for six to seven years and Logan is like a brother
to me now, a great friend. Ray Winston, I've known him for a long time so yeah it was good fun.
Noah hits UK cinemas on the 4th of April.
