So...another pointless Celebrity Big Brother has finished...unsurprisingly, I didn't watch
it.
You're not into Big Brother?
No. Stupid. But there was a lot of talk about that pillock Dappy in the house...
When I first heard of N-Dubz and I saw their independent singles come out, I thought they
were pretty corny. I wasn't particularly impressed; I thought it was comedy. But I did like how
they did so well with Uncle B and they released a follow up album, Against All Odds I think
it was, and to be honest I grew to respect them and I grew to even like some of their
music. It's a guilty pleasure of mine but I do have some their music on my Ipod...yeah,
might edit that out...
I couldn't name you a single song....
"Papa can you hear me?"
No.
"I swear", I would sing it but there's no point...
No...
"Girls", girls.
That's Motley Crew, "Girls girls girls".
No, no, no, no its "Girls"; "I mess with theemmm".
No.
OK. Well anyway, they've made their mark; say what you will. You don't have to like
them , but they've made their mark.
Dappy's doing his thing, Fazer's doing his thing. Tulisa seems to have gone off the rails
recently...The last twelve months, she's not really had much of a good year....She had
that whole sex tape thing with her ex didn't she? Actually I think she handled that really
really well.
She got booted off the X Factor.
I mean that's pretty low isn't it? Booted off that kind of show. You've gotta be doing
something wrong to get kicked off that, really.
Simon Cowell runs the show. What he says goes; if he doesn't want someone on there, he's
not going to have someone on there, look what he did to Cheryl Cole.
But anyway, I respected Tulisa for making her way, and making that money, but as I say
she seems to have hit the rocks. This whole thing with her and selling drugs...I'm disappointed
in Tulisa because she's come so far, she's someone that people can relate to because
she's come from hard times and hard places. Yet she gets that success, she's in that privileged
position; she's worked hard and she's gone and ruined her image and she's selling drugs!
How can you justify that? Or are we saying now that people who sell drugs are OK people?
We smile on people who sell drugs now do we? Is that what we're saying? What are we saying?
The man who's charged with her, I forget his name, he's not important. He's a part time,
MC or rapper as well...and ever since that story broke she's laid low and stayed real,
real, real quiet.
She's risking jail time, she's not going to go to jail because very few celebrities ever
actually go to jail. I just think at some point she's going to have to have an answer
for these questions because people, surely they're wondering? Aren't people whose children
look up to her, why should they trust her now? People still looked up to her as a role
model and yet now, she's broken people's trust by having this undercover thing going on...
Did the media make more of it than it was?
It's not exactly defamation, she tried to sell drugs or hook undercover reporters up
with drugs. How do you blow that out of proportion? Why is she doing that? What does she stand
to gain? She doesn't need the money, why do it?
She stands to lose a heck of a lot. She hasn't made a public apology, she's not made any
comment at all; but at the minute I think she's making music. But the problem is by
the time this broke in December or whenever it was she's sort of by this point deeply
in the decline. No-one's really too interested in that album that she made because it wasn't
that hot...I think she came out with a book, didn't read it, not interested. Very few other
people are, and you get to December 2013, and she's the middle man for selling drugs,
it's like "What?".
How do you recover from that? Tulisa's done as far as I'm concerned. I think you're still
going to have people who are willing to forgive, but personally, I could never look at Tulisa
the same way again.
Disappointed. It's disappointing because I came to respect every one of them. Fazer,
Dappy, well not so much Dappy. No! Fazer and Tulisa more I came to respect for making their
way, Dappy just did a couple of really stupid things and stupid antics....and then he apologizes.
I mean he's been quiet recently so fair enough but, not so much Dappy but it seems now that
the only person that is laying low and focusing on business and making his way is Fazer. Dappy's
doing his thing, but he's done stupid things in the past, Tulisa's done stupid things recently...
Maybe it's just a family thing where it runs in the blood that they just do stupid, stupid
things. Fazer's the only one who seems to be quiet and laying low and doing his thing
and making money...so we'll see how it plays out.
