Hi and welcome to another review!
Today we'll be having a look at Mattel "The Dark Knight Rises" Movie Masters John Blake, which is part of series 2!
This figure has been released in 2012 and it's 6" scaled, it's about 6 inches tall!
A quick look at the packaging!
As seen before, it's shaped like a Batman gauntlet.
On top we have the movie logo, while at the bottom, the name of the character and the indication of the collect and connect Bat-signal...
...which is shown on the back with the read up and the other figures in this line.
Let's take a closer look!
The sculpt is almost completely original, there are no reused parts except for the legs and the shoes (fairly reusable).
The jacket and the upper part of the body (as well as the headsculpt obviously) are brand new sculpted.
The jacket is soft plastic and it's full of little details! Check it out!
Here we can see this little radio, on John Blake's shoulder.
Really nice! Check out this little detail on the neck (don't pay attention to the paint defect eheh): Gotham City Police Department.
The likeness to the actor Joseph Gordon Levitt is very good I'd say! That's him! No doubt about it!
A very very nice figure! No complaints about it!
As for the articulation, head is on a ball joint, arms can fully rotate and move in and out, rotation on the upper part of the biceps, single jointed elbows, full rotation at the hands.
Crunch articulation, full rotation at the waist. Legs can move forward and back, in and out. Full rotation in the middle of the thigh, single jointed knees and ankle articulation where the foot can move up and down.
Accessories wise, John Blake only comes with the Bat-signal piece, like most of the figures from the Movie Masters line. It consists in the frontal piece, with the lense.
The Bat-symbol is printed, it's very clean, no flaws.
Honestly, since he is a cop, I would have liked a gun at least! There's definitely something missing, considering the role of the character, considering that he is a cop!
I don't think adding a gun would have represented an unsustainable cost, specially because they've already sculpted one for the Jim Gordon figure!
That's my only complaint! I would have liked an actual accessory, to be used with the figure, in addition to the Bat-signal piece!
I strongly recommend this figure! The role of John Blake in the movie is very very important! I won't say anything for those who haven't watched the movie yet!
As a figure, I think it's almost perfect! If they had included a gun, it would have been a 10 out of 10!
You can find it on ebay for about 25 bucks plus shipping, maybe less if you're a bit lucky.
That being said, I'll see you on the next video! BYE!
