Hi, I am Hollie and this is bridal hair on my wedding scrapbook. This week, we are going
to show you how to achieve this beautiful, natural looking hairstyle, perfect for all
of you boho brides. [music]
So for this week, we are going to start off with just natural parting. So we are just
kind of a little bit off center where the everyday parting would fall. So you can do
this direct on center or maybe to one side, whatever you prefer, whatever you feel comfortable
with. So to keep the hair in place you are going to prep it with some spay mousse, just
to make sure that the curl lasts all day. I am just going to brush this through the
lower lengths of the hair, kind of leaving the crown free. Once you have the hair prepped,
you are going to start curling. So the easiest way to do this is to section off the hair
into manageable chunks. So I am just working with hair from the ear to the center parting.
I am going to split this one more time. So, with the top section pinned down in place,
I am going to start working on the bottom section here, So I am using the wand to do
the curls. Now you can use a curling tongs or a ghd or rollers, whatever you prefer.
But I find a wand gives a nice seamless curl. So for this look, we are going to start just
about halfway down the hair shaft, pulling the hair away from the face so you get that
nice, soft, bouncy look. So keep the hair wrapped around whatever tool you have for
about ten seconds until you feel the heat coming through the other side, and then just
leave it down to cool. So continue doing this until you have used up all of the hair.
So we are nearly finished, just have to do this last piece in the front. Again, all the
time, working the hair away from the face to get a really soft and bouncy look. So once
you have completed all of the curls and you have got all of your hair done, leave it to
cool for about ten minutes just to make sure the curl is set. To get that really soft,
bouncy wave look, we are just going to run our fingers through the hair, not a brush
yet. So do this especially if you have straight hair that does not curl very easily. Break
up the curl first with your fingers and if you are still getting a kind of Little Bo
Peep kind of ringlet, then use the brush. So as you can see, we are just gently pulling
the curls out with your hand. Once you are happy with the definition of the curl and
the kind of bounce that you have, we are just going to give it a quick spritz of hairspray
to hold it all in place. It is a good idea to add a little bit of volume and lift to
the crown and roots of the hair because you are going to want to look just a little bit
more dramatic than your everyday kind of loose waves style. So especially if you have a hair
piece or a veil that is going on later in the day, it is a good idea to have a little
bit of volume and something to anchor it to. So I am just using a bristle brush here. So
it is good just for backcombing. It is going to pop just a few knots in about an inch or
so down towards the scalp, and at the crown. Pop a little bit in there. When you are happy
with the amount of volume, you have a new style and you are ready to go finish off the
whole look with a lot of hairspray, especially along the crown just to smooth away any fly
aways, and bring the hairspray right down to the tips. So you have that natural look,
but that will hold. So there you have it, beautiful, natural looking
bridal hair, perfect for your big day. If you like the video, give it a thumbs up and
