The Feedback for Future Learning campaign at GCU is
intended to help students reflect upon the feedback
they receive and all their assessed work to enhance
their future learning. The Feedback for Future Learning campaign is based upon eight principles.
Feedback at GCU is intended to be a dialogue. It will help students achieve great levels
of performance in their future learning. Feedback is intended to be timely and related to clear
criteria. It is intended to be available to all students, available on all forms of assessed
work to meet the needs of all students and is intended
to be flexible at all times. The Feedback for Future Learning campaign consists of a wide
range of materials, all designed to help students get more from their feedback on assessed work.
This includes a range of seminars and workshops about particular aspects of feedback and the
feedback principles. It includes a wide range of self-study activities, available online
and through the university website, and it includes a wide range of videos.
The Feedback for Future Learning campaign will
involve students in engagement with our materials through attendance with seminars and workshops.
Through our range of interactive activities you will learn how to get the most from your
feedback comments on your assessed work. Whether it be for formative assessment, where
there are no stakes, or summative assessment, where your
performance counts towards your module scores. Our workshops are intended to help you learn
how to reflect upon the feedback you receive on your assessed work but also in your wider
student life. You can find out more about the Feedback for Future Learning campaign by looking
at the university website, from the Feedback for uture Learning tab on the /student page,
by contacting your learning development centre in your school, by contacting your programme
or module tutor, or by mailing studentfeedback@gcu.ac.uk. We will help you
to gain more from your student feedback comments.
