The response to the fact that the Hebrew people can not be subjected to the will of God in the Old Testament, despite seeing signs, wonders and marvels, is human nature:
Still ... because we have a natural physical body; Human ... because the contact with the world, reading the external universe, the very existence depends on human senses, natural. Actually this was the worst consequence resulting from the sin of Adam and Eve, that is, humanity was separated from God (original sin), to deliver live their own understanding, their idea of the world that originates in their natural senses humans.
The Lord God then sent him forth from the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. Genesis 3:23
It is the natural point of view, the man begins to understand the world, having now able to choose since it became know good and evil, which leads him to be subject to this nature, being instructed, directed, guided, governed by their own instincts.
Then the Lord God said: The man has now become like one of Us, knowing good and evil ...; Genesis 3:22
Even aware of the human condition, God chooses the man as a witness and messenger of His Word to man himself.
After taking the chosen people of Egypt to perform such a task, God proposes dwell in their midst in order to instruct, lead and guide the people, making this his property, therefore reveals to Moses as he should build the Tabernacle where his presence would real among the twelve tribes of Israel, this place would rule God's people.
In one day they completed three months that the Israelites had left Egypt, came into the wilderness of Sinai. 2 After retiring from Rephidim, entered the wilderness of Sinai, and Israel camped there before the mountain. 3 Logo Moses went up the mountain to meet with God. And the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying:
"Say this to the descendants of Jacob and declare to the Israelites: 4 You have seen what I did to Egypt and how carried away on eagles' wings and brought them with me. 5 Now if you obey me faithfully and keep My covenant, you shall be My treasured possession among all nations.
Although the whole earth is mine, 6 you will be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words you will say to the Israelites. " Exodus 19. 1-6
This was marked by an alliance proposed by Lord, a treaty which man should live according to the law imposed by God.
Importantly, the Law was given by God only after a spontaneous response by which the people declared their desire to serve the Lord God of Israel, obeying his will.
And all the people answered with one voice: All that the Lord has spoken we will do. And Moses told the words of the Lord's people. Exodus 08.19
The function of the Law was to treat sin, for it pointed to the error reminding man of his nature, showing what was unpleasant to God, which might alienate the people of his presence normalizing and regulating their way of living, thus establishing the divine vision about the standard of life that human beings should have to the presence of God was with him.
However, to live in obedience to the Law, it would be necessary to overcome human nature. This is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and are destitute of the glory of God, and are justified freely through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3. 22-24
For all have sinned and are devoid of God's glory ... because everyone disobeyed, therefore, withdrew from them the presence of God ... continues in the next video ...
