Hello, friends!
Welcome to the House of Russian Fans, where we will try out some sports
And find out what rewards are to be gained from them
First, you need to get yourself a notebook to record where we've been
- The House contains 18 different sections, each with a volunteer
Let's start with curling, you can try yourself as a curler
Now try yourself in the role of Russian biathlete Olga Zaitseva
I've ended up with 5 penalties
In the alpine skiing section everything's easier
You put on a pair of 3D-glasses and go skiing
Over by the jump stand are some historical artefacts
For example, here's the cap of Vladimir Belousov, Olympic champion of 1968
It's a rare case when you can become a member of the Russian team in Soviet kit
Now let's try a speed-skating pose
This is the figure-skating section
Here, you can see what the first figure-skaters wore
This is the first costume of Soviet figure skater Elena Shcheglova
I can't imagine how quickly they jump onto these sleds
- How do we make medals?
Using the method of semi-continuous casting
Silver plates are made 12-13 mm thick
The plate is cut into squares, from which the body of the medal is cut out
Here you can see torches from different games
Here's the "Feather Firebird"
This torch is from Vancouver
Salt Lake City 2002, USA
Turin
Nagano 1998
Calgary 1988
We just filled out a fan's card
For which we got a sticker, a badge, and a Russian flag
After the House of Fans, I suggest we go to the Square of Celebrations
To listen to a concert and find out who will be awarded the gold
- The gold medal and title of Olympic champion went to Martin Fourcade of France
