On behalf of expertvillage.com, I am Jennifer with a Perfect Fit Alterations. We are located
in Burleson, Texas. Our phone number is (817) 447-3522. We are continuing on with our pet
coat. We are decorating our pet coat so that our little pet will be warm in the winter.
We have our collar and I have chosen a lace trim that we are going to add to the edge
of the collar. To start here we are going to put the edge of the lace trim on the edge
of the collar. We are not going to start right at the end. We are going to put the pressure
foot just a little bit in there and then we are going to do 3 stitches; more than 3, we
are going to do 4 stitches. We are going to hit the reverse key to backstitch, to lock
that lace in place and then we are going to continue on. This lace is very delicate. So
we want to backstitch to lock this on here so that we don't have any trouble with it
falling off. We don't want to make our project and then it fall apart. So we are going to
go about 3 of these little sea shell shapes, 3 or 4 of them, then we are going to stop,
push our reverse key, lock our stitches into place and continue on. We are going to get
to the middle of the back, stop our machine, push the reverse key and once you get good
at this, you don't have to quite stop. You can continue on, hit the reverse key as you
are going, backstitch and continue on to the end. Hit your reverse key and we are sewing
this in yellow thread so the thread color shows up because we are putting this on a
yellow pet coat. Be a little careful going around these corners. Now we are going to
get to the end, stop our machine, hit the reverse key and we are going to do this 3
or 4 times. We are going to keep hitting the reverse key and backstitch 3 or 4 times to
make sure that this pet coat is on here real good. There we go! We have decorated our collar.
