Hello everybody, welcome to my channel, to my blog or wherever you have found me.
In today's video I will be doing you a tutorial for a look.
I also would like to welcome anyone that is watching me from zonaglam, which is a digital magazine.
I was asked whether I would like to colaborate with them in some article and I will be starting now
So if you're watching me from their website, also welcome
I hope you'll like this look
The look that I will be doing, is a look with green and gold colours
It was meant to be an inspired look
But what happened is when I was going to do the look (for the first time), my internet wasn't working
So I had a general idea of how it look but I didn't really remember any details
I know that the colours were gold and green, but really in detail I didn't remember
But afterwards I've seen that it is quite similar
This will probably be the first video out of a mini series, as there is another look from the music video that I want to do
This look comes from a music video by Taylor Swift
of a song that is called "Our Song"
which was realeased a few years back, but I never seen it before
This look is the one she's got on when she's talking on the phone
Today I won't be able to do the entire look, but I will tell you what you need to do to complete the look
Since a couple of days, I've been having an infection in my face and it's better that I don't put any products on
I don't know what you can still see it but it has been swollen and I had a bit of a rash
So I don't really want to put any product on it if it's unnecesary since I won't be leaving the house today.
I will tell you how you will have to do it, but right now I can't do it myself
In the second video, when everything's healed I will show you how I put on my foundation
Let me just zoom in a bit so you can see the eyes
So this is the look
Of course the sun is coming out now
I wanted to show you this eye, because the eyeliner turned out better on that eye
It's made with gold and green colours
I really hope you like it.
I will name all the colours and products as I go and I will also leave this information in the information box.
I hope you'll like it and that you'll stay to see the tutorial
Before starting, I washed my hands with soap which is anti bacterium and not really for the makeup, but especially since I wear contact lenses
To put in the contact lenses, I don't want any microbes there
Because I've already heard some very awfull stories about it
It's better to have it all clean, also if you use cream eyeshadows which you apply with your fingers it's good to have it clean
First off, I'll be starting with a primer and I will be using this one, Essence "I love stage"
The day that I first made the look, I used Too Faced "Shadow Insurance"
Because I wanted the look to be longlasting
And on that aspect I find the primer by Too Faced better than the one by Essence
Most of the products that I will beusing will be the same products that I used the first day that I did this look
There are one or two that I've changed and I will mention that
More than anything it's for budget reasons
Since I'm not going anywhere today, I'm not using the few product I have which could be considered "high end"
The next product that I will be using is a Color Tattoo by maybelline in "45 Bold Gold" (05 Eternal Gold)
I'm sure you will all already now it, but it's this beautiful colour
I already have got the color tattoos for about six months and I have noticed that they are drying a bit
But there is a product of which I want to do a review which helps you to put the shadow on, make it go on smooth again
But I don't have it here right now
I'm going to apply this color tattoo on the eyelid and use this colour as a base colour
The next product I will be using is Maybelline's Color Tattoo "35 Tough as Taupe" (40 Permanente Taupe)
And I will be using this brush with it
I will be applying the colour on the outer lid and in the crease
this is to create a bit of shadow/darkness in this part of the eye
It doesn't need to be perfect as we will be putting an eyeshadow on top of it
Next I will be using L'oreal Colour Infaillible "027 Goldmine" (997 Eternal Sunshine)
It is a pigment, so the best thing you can do, is first do the eyes before applying foundation, because there will be fall out
There won't be a lot of fall out like for instance with the pigments by Kiko, as this is notas loose
But it's a pigment and it's better to do your foundation afterwards so you can remove any fall out
I will be applying it with this brush
And I will be applying it to the first part of the eye lid where I applied the gold cream shadow before in order to intensify the look
The next product that I wll be using is this pallet, it appeared in the Haul video of January
It's number 60 "Rumble in the Jungle" of the collection "Absolute Eye Colour" by Catrice
I will be using the light green colour that has little particles in green and gold
I will be using the Base Shadow brush by Real Techniques
and I will be applying it to the outer part of the eye lid
So first off I will be applying this colour with the brush. But since I already used this product the frist time I tried this look I noticed it doesn't pigment as much when it's being applied with the brush or when you apply it with your finger
So what I will be doing, it apply the colour with the brush first so there is already a bit of colour
aftwards I will apply a darker colour in the crease
And after that I will apply a bit more of the light green colour with my finger to have that contrast of the green eyeshadow and the gold one
As you can see, I apply it right where the gold pigment ends
For the next step; I will be taking the same pallet and I will be using the dark green colour
I'm going to apply it with the Deluxe Crease Brush by Real Techniques
And what I will be doing is apply it in the outer corner of my eye and bring the colour to my crease and blend the colours together
The best thing you can do it apply the colour little by little, it's always easier to put more colour than to remove it
Now I'm going back to the gold pigment
in order to bring back the intensity of the colour that might have been lost applying the dark green shade, and we'll do the same for the light green colour
For the next step I will apply a colour to the bottom lash line
I will be using this eye pencil for it, which is "02 Like Leo's pilot jacket" of the collection Legend Of the Sky (Limited Edition) by Essence
I will be using the small eye liner pencil that's on one side
I'm going to line right underneath the botom lashes to have a cream base where I will apply the dark green colour on
I'm now going to be using a Long LastingStick by Kiko in the shade 07
and I will apply this to the first part of the bottom lash line
And with the brush we used earlier to put the gold pigment on, I will apply some of the pigment that is still left on the brush to give the longlasting stick an extra bright touch
I'm now taking the accent brush by Real Techniques
I will apply a bit of the dark green colour onto the green eye pencil and blend it a little bit so it connects with the first part
Now take your favourite black eyepencil to line your top and bottom water line
I really like this one because of it creamy texture and it's resistance on the waterline
Because my battery died I forgot to highlight the brow bone For that I will be using the colour "Foxy" in the Naked2 pallet
I will be using the "Dual Eyes" brush by Bubbi
this one is available induvidually or in set
It's by a YouTube guru fron Hong Kong
So we will be highlighting the brow bone
Now onto my favourite part
I will use the eyeliner "I love Style" by Essence which is an ultra black colour, to contrat with the gold and green colours
Personally I prefer to apply it with an eyeliner brush so that I have more control
You really want the contrast between the eyeshadows and a very black eyeliner
You can make the wing as dramatic as you want
I usually start in the middle, work my way to the inner corner and then go toward the end and make the wing
The trick I use which I learned from my co-webbie on the english blog is to not entirely close my eye while applying the eyeliner
To make the wing, I search for the line of my crease and make sure the wing stays below it
This side turned out better than the other one
Time for mascara I will use Maybelline One by one Volume Express Mascara in "Satin Black"
This one also appeared in the Haul of January, according to Maybelline the brush seperates the lashes and coats them to perfection
Next, on to the face (Like I said before I won't be able to apply the products due to the infection)
As concealer I use Hard Candy Glamouflage in “Light”
It's sold in the United States, it's not expensive at all and has great coverage
It's being sold with a little pencil to cover up tattoos
If I have any redness in my face I first use Kiko Natural concealer “04”, which is a gree concealer
I first apply this one and afterwards I apply the regular concealer on top
For this I use the Detailer Brush by Real Techniques
That day I made this look, as I went for lunch, I used my Make Up Forever HD Foundation in the shade N115
which is a very light shade
I think the price of this foundation was around 40 euros so I do consider this one of my more high end product and usually only use it for special occasions
I apply it using the stippling brush by Real Techniques
I'm still earning how to contour correctly, so that should be your next step
So my next step was the blush
I used Accessorize "06 Scandal"
I find it quite similar to Rose Gold by Sleek MakeUp
I applied it on the apples of my cheeks
using the Blush Brush by Real Techniques
The best part of this blush is that it will give you a nice glow
On to the lips, that day I used a lipgloss which was a gift that came with the serum by "oro Fluido"
this is a very nude colour
but today I will apply Hean Lipgloss "152"
it's a pink gloss with shimmer
Since the focus is on the eye you don't want to go for a very bright colour on the lips
This was today's look and see you in the next video!
