For the first time The Netherlands has won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Winner Ralf was extremely happy.
Amazing!
Ralf won after an exciting voting
the final country to announce their votes gave the Dutch the victory
Thirteen countries participated and the show was broadcasted live
At the end of the voting it was between The Netherlands, Armenia and Russia.
Yes, 10 points!
We're at the top! And that means with 121 points
Ralf and his men are the winners
We did it!
They did it!
Glitter for Ralf and all his dancers.
And Click Clack was heard a lot afterwards
Tamara was there for us in Kyiv.
You'll get a limo.
Amazing!
Amazing! Is it a dream?
Brother: Brilliant. He really performed well today.
But after all of this, it's time for serious business.
the press is waiting
Why is your song the winner?.
I really think it's because of the tap dancing.
That must have done something.
When you write a song, you have to make it of your own.
Not listen to the radio and try to copy something
There's press everywhere
Unbelievable, I really can't believe.
And then it's time for the after party in the hotel.
It's a bit dull right now...
We're gonna get some music
My brother brought some from home
How many times did you this dance today?
Ten times or so?
So the party is going on.
The boys are still full of energy
they'll probably go on whole night
But I'm off to bed.
The Netherlands never won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
But also in the adult version our country hasn't won for almost 35 years.
We talked with Gordon who participated this year with The Toppers
They didn't receive a lot of points
but as a fan of the contest he's really proud.
The Netherlands has won a Song Contest.
What do you think of it?
I think it's incredible.
I got a SMS as I wasn't at home
I couldn't believe it.
After 35 years it's finally a victory for The Netherlands
He didn't win, but Ralfs victory might help in the Eurovision Song Contest
Who knows. The artist who's gonna represent The Netherlands is inspired because of this.
The last time a Dutch participant won, was in 1975.
Teach In won the contest with the song Ding-a-***.
The best result in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest until now was a 7th place.
A reminder
And now you're gonna take tapping lessons?
I don't think so ;)
There are a lot of stories about neighbour voting in Eastern Europe
and because of this people would quit particpating because The Netherlands wouldn't stand a chance.
But yesterday proved The Netherlands can win with a good song.
Netherlands, 12 points!
The Netherlands should always participate. Just stop whining.
I've had the best week in Moscow and I think Ralf can confirm it's a great experience.
Ralf if you're watching, Congratulations. You did The Netherlands proud.
And tomorrow Ralf will be honored at his school.
