Hi I'm Tim Gipson and I'm going to show you how to maintain a whirlpool tub. Now it's
a good idea to do this probably every two or three months and the reason is that with
the tubing that you have inside your whirlpool tub you can get some build up in there just
some residual and grime can build up over time, Just because a lot of times water will
just sit in there. Now what we want to do is we want to use dish washing detergent actually
as an agent to clean. The reason why we want to use dishwashing detergent is that it is
very low sudsing so it can take all the turbulence of the whirlpool tub without creating a lot
of suds and that is what we want to do so what we want to do is I want to fill the water
up. As you can see in the tub here I've got the water filled up where it is just above
the jets and then we are going to turn the water on and as it is cycling then I'm going
to pour this in and there is an inlet that you have so what you want to do is you want
to spread this dishwashing detergent but you want to move towards the inlet so it actually
pulls that in and cycles it through your tub so we'll go ahead and turn this on now and
then what you want to do is you want to let this cycle through and you want to probably
let this run for about five minutes. The other point is is you don't need to use hot water,
you can just use warm water and typically that makes it a little faster to fill up the
tub as well. So just let that cycle through and then we'll turn that off and then you'll
want to drain your tub and then fill it up one more time with clear water and then run
it again for about another five minutes and then drain it. It is important to go ahead
and fill that back u and to run it again with that clean water and drain it just so we get
any of that residual out. So I'm Tim Gipson and that's how to maintain a whirlpool tub.
