Hello, I'm Russella and here are a few of our favourite stories from the world of film
in 2011.
In September, Al Pacino won the '*** Lion Award' at this year's Venice Film Festival,
with his documentary 'Wilde Salomé'. In the film Pacino directs and acts in Wilde's play
'Salomé', whilst also exploring the writer’s life.
Jennifer Saunders has said that she plans to write Absolutely Fabulous - The Movie,
in 2012. The story is expected to take place aboard a yacht, with Patsy and Eddie as drunk
and clueless as ever.
Mickey Rourke has started production on his biopic of retired rugby star, Gareth Thomas.
Rourke wrote the script, which deals with Thomas's sporting success and his coming out
in 2009.
A Nicole Kidman film about the world's first male to female trans person was shelved earlier
this year after some of her co-stars pulled out. Kidman was to play artist Lili Elbe,
in the £10 million biopic, titled 'The Danish Girl'.
And finally, Stephen Dorff jokingly complained that his character in recent movie release
'Immortals' was the most naked, He said, "I had no clothes (on) throughout the whole movie."
That's all from us here in a very Christmassy Leicester Square, in London. Join us again
tomorrow.
