Hi, I'm Deborah Altizio, celebrity makeup artist
in New York City, and today, I'm gonna give you some great
makeup tips for dry skin.
So what happens is the makeup will just sit on top of
the scaly dry skin.
And you also want to go into a tapping motion and that will
also create a nice, smooth, or kind of a spackle effect,
and you kind of want to just tap into it.
Then you want to take a little bit of a moisturizing concealer
and dab in this area.
Tap it with your fingers, the heat from your finger will
just blend that and melt that right into the skin.
To add some color to the face you want to take a CoverGirl
cream blush, swirl it around on the brush
and then you're going to apply it --
smile -- on the apples of the cheeks,
a little bit on the nose, forehead.

You can go straight onto the lid, you can use your finger,
or you can apply with a brush.
Take a little bit here and apply it this way.
What you want to do is look for a gel liner.
Take a little bit of liner, rub it back and forth on your hands
and then apply it to the top of the lids.
It softens it and it will also prevent it from skipping.
The heat from your finger will help melt some of the formula
right into the lips so it doesn't work its way
into the creases.
A good thing to stow in your purse is a little lip balm.
It could be used on the lips and it could also double up
as a moisturizer if you're supper flaky and super dry.
A travel size atomizer is also really good because
it will help reinvigorate your makeup.
