Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a wave!
We start by sketching the circular shape.
And the part where it is going to end...
Now, the horizon line...
and a line for the beach.
Very good! Now let´s color with markers.
Of course we do the movements in the direction in which the water flows.
With this light blue we can also draw the sea and start giving
some texture to the wave.
The complete list of materials is in the information bellow the video.
With a slightly darker blue we can do some more waves
... and then with green and beige...
the land.
And now with yellow pencil, let´s do a reflection inside the tunnel.
And we may add some more colors such as orange to make it more rich.
I´ll darken the sky slightly.
I lighten this part with the eraser and then continue giving more texture
with different tones.
Some shadow in this bottom area and apply some water with a brush
since I am using watercolor pencils... this was not totally necessary,
I could have left it the way it was .
Now with a white pastel let´s do some droplets and the end of the wave..
Here the water is very thin and with the backlight it looks bright.
Very good! I like this.
It is so fun to draw.
The sun will go here.
Let´s continue playing, I mean drawing! [laughs]
I have to tell you that after drawing with the color pencils,
the white pastel would not hold on them
to resolve this I sprayed some fixative on the drawing
and this helped.
I want more contrast therefore I’ll darken some shadows.
That´s looking better baby!
Let´s give it some more waves and detail ... and it will be ready!
Good!
