Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are just about done with our bag, we have
a few more steps to go. We've turned it right side out, so now we have a nice little shell
of a bag, now I'm just going to take the top and I'm going to turn it in and I'm going
to sew just along the edges. So to do this, the easiest way is take this part off of your
machine and then you can put that around like that and start at one of the seams. Go ahead
and pick your foot up if you have to, put it down like that and just go about a quarter
of an inch from the top. Make sure that it's all tucked down underneath like that and then
we're just going to around the entire perimeter. Go ahead and start slow and do a couple of
back stitches to create a knot and then go ahead and help guide your fabric. But again,
remember you never want to push your fabric through, you just want to help guide it and
let the machine do its job. If you start trying to force it through, you're either going to
break a needle or end up with a lot of tangled thread. So just go ahead and guide it through.
You might want to push it down a little bit when you're going pass the seam. Follow it
around. After this we're going to go ahead and attach the straps and then we'll be done.
Okay, so when you get to the end, you go ahead and give it a couple of back stitches to create
your knot. You pick up the foot, you cut your thread, you cut any loose threads and we're
ready to make our straps. So go ahead and clean your threads up and get your fabric
so we can our straps and I'll see you at the next clip.
