I GET THIS INFORMATION ABOUT IT BEING A TYPEFACE,
WHEN I CLICK ON THIS ONE
BASIC INFORMATION LIKE YOU WOULD WITH ANY OTHER SHAPE.
SO IT IS NO LONGER AN EDITABLE TYPEFACE.
NOW, THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS LITTLE EXERCISE
IS THAT YOU CAN DEVELOP A LOGO
THAT LOOKS LIKE IT GOES PERFECTLY WITH THE TYPEFACES.
AND SO I CAN TELL YOU FROM EXPERIENCE
THAT GENERALLY IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH OF THE LETTER FORM
YOU HAVE TO SHRINK IT DOWN TOO MUCH
AND THEN IT REALLY DOESN'T LOOK
LIKE IT GOES WITH THE TYPEFACE ANYMORE.
SO YOU'RE USUALLY LOOKING FOR A PIECE OF THE LETTER FORM,
MAYBE HALF AT MOST.
SO WHAT WE NEED TO DO
IS FIGURE OUT WHAT HALF WE WANT TO WORK WITH
AND WE'LL GIVE THAT A SHOT.
SO WHAT I NEED IS I WANT JUST ABOUT, LIKE, THIS MUCH.
I'LL START WITH THE BOTTOM HALF OF IT.
SO A VERY EASY WAY TO GET RID OF THE CHUNK
IS JUST TO GO OVER HERE, GRAB THE ERASER TOOL.

IS TO ERASE AN ENTIRE SECTION OF THE LETTER
'CAUSE I'M GOING TO HOLD DOWN THE OPTION KEY.
OPTION KEY IS DOWN, I CLICK, I DRAG
AND IF I WANT JUST THAT PIECE RIGHT THERE I COULD RELEASE IT
BUT ACTUALLY I THINK I WANT TO KIND OF CUT IT
AT A DIAGONAL HERE.
