SARAH HAUER: Hi. I'm Sarah Hauer. SIG HAUER: And I'm Sig Hauer, and we're professional practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine. SARAH HAUER: We're here on behalf of Expert Village. SIG HAUER: And welcome to our video. The next point Sarah is doing is Large Intestine 4 and this point is very powerful for helping move the chi all throughout the body. And you'll notice when she needles, she's doing a--just a very mild stimulation on the points and there's different ways to stimulate the needles to help get certain effects. So, Sarah is going to do Large Intestine 4 on the left hand as well. More often than not, we do the points bilaterally, that is on both sides, and Large Intestine 4, again, it's a very commonly used point, very powerful. Like I said, it moves chi all throughout the body; good for pain anywhere in the body, good for headaches, dental analgesic. We have used that for people going to the dentist to put in a small, what's called a press tack; it's a smaller needle that sticks on for people going to the dentist and they--their dental visits go much, much smoother as a result. But, again, it's a very powerful point that's used very often. I think it's very important to note that we have years of training in doing this and do not do this at home, kids. This is--it can be done dangerously if you don't know what you're doing. We have--we had the training to know how exactly how to put the needles in, at what angle, and how deep. There are points where if you go in too deep, you can do some damage. So, this is not something that you can do casually at home. You must be a trained acupuncturist to do this.
