Installing Make-The-Cut is very easy and it only takes a moment. But if you have never
installed something before, you might like to see it happening to ensure it all goes
well. So that is what this is for.
There are two ways to install Make-The-Cut. If you bought the KNK zing you probably will
have a cd-rom that says make the cut on the front.
If you purchased Make-The-Cut from their website, you will have a download.
Both install the same, the only difference is that if you bought it online you will have
to download it to your computer first.
A quick note, if you are installing this to use with the KNK Zing, don’t have the Zing
plugged into your computer just yet. During the install process it will pop up telling
you not to have it plugged in, when I first installed it, this warning was too late for
me and I had to reinstall the program. So make sure your Zing is unplugged from your
computer before starting.
In this video I am using a cd-rom, so as you can see the box appears once I insert the
CD into my computer. If I click that it will open the installer. If you have the download
version, you will just need to find where you downloaded the program to and then double
click that just like I did mine.
I always read the Terms Of Service, but I know most people don’t. Once your done,
just click this button here that says "I agree"
Its now going to ask you where you want to install the program. There is no need to change
it, just let it install in the default location. So click "install" now and it will start to
install Make-The-Cut onto your computer.
Here is the warning I was telling you about, just click ok.
It now says it is okay to plug your Zing in. If you bought Make-The-Cut online I am not
sure if this warning box would appear.
And once we click that it lets us know that Make-The-Cut has been installed successfully
and asks us whether we want to start up the software now.
I'm going to click yes.
And then it will open and ask you to continue in Demo mode or to register the product. I
don’t have my Registration code handy so I am just going to close this.
But all you do is type in your code and hit accept and you will have successfully installed
and registered your copy of Make-The-Cut.
If you look below this video you will see some links to other videos that show you how
to import various files, and other fun stuff.
