Amla is very good for health
You can make a lot of recipes using Amla
like Amla ka Murabba, Amla Churn, Amla Pickle, Amla Juice
Today I'm going to make Amla ka Achar (Gooseberry Pickle)
Lets see the ingredients required for making it
For this we will need
Amla / Gooseberries - 500 gm
Mustard Oil - 4 tablespoon
Asafoetida - 2 pinch
Cumin Seeds - 1 teaspoon
Fennel Seeds - 2 tablespoon, coarsely ground
Fenugreek Seeds Powder - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
Lets start making Amla Pickle
First wash and dry gooseberries, I have already washes and dried these gooseberries
Now we will put these into a plastic bag and microwave on high for 8 minutes
Put gooseberries in to plastic bag
Don't seal the bag completely
Microwave on High for 8 minutes
It have been 8 minutes, now take out the bag
Now we will remove seeds from the gooseberries
Gooseberries are completely softened
Similarly remove seeds from all gooseberries
I have removed seeds from all the gooseberries
Now we will heat oil in a wok / kadhai
Turn on the gas
Put oil into the wok and let it heat
Oil is heated
Now add cumin seeds
Add fenugreek seeds powder
Add asafoetida
Add all other spices
Spices are cooked
Now add gooseberries to this mixture
Saute it for 5 minutes
Amla Pickle is ready
Turn off the heat
Now turn it into a bowl
Amla Pickle is ready
You can store it in a container and refrigerate for long time once it cools down
It is very delicious
You can have it as a side dish in your menu
