I have just told: "mahabhava cintamani radhara svarupa"
The svarupa of Radha is mahabhava cintamani.
This is Her very form, Her very body.
"radha prati krsna sneha sugandhini udvartan"
What is the meaning of "udvartan"?
A paste made from fragrant oils.
Sometimes before bathing, mustard seed paste ( is applied on the body.)
But this alone is not what is used for Radhika ji.
This paste will melt and be wasted.
Therefore, the pollen of a lotus flower must be added, this is the key ingredient.
Then Lalita, Vishaka, Rupa Manjari and others apply this paste.
What is this paste (actually) made of?
It is made of that affection which Krishna has towards Radhaji. So much affection.
These are the true ingredients.
"tate suganhi deha"
That affection of Krishna is so fragrant,
and already from the body of Radhaji there is so much fragrance
so when they combine together, how will it be?
When Krishna smells this aroma he becomes so captivated.
"yasa kadaapi vasananca khelennotaÉ"
Krishna considers Himself most fortunate when he smells the fragrance in that breeze which has touched even the veil of Radhaji, what to speak of it touching her body.
"tate suganghi geha ujjvala varana."
And what is the color of Radha?
"cinna purata"
What is the meaning of "cinna purata"?
Purata means gold,
and if gold is cut, in the center pure, a beautiful untarnished glow will emanate.
This is the color of Radhikaji.
Or if there is raw turmeric root and you break it.
How will it be?
More than gold.
"tadit suvarna campaka pradipta gaura vigrahe"
She has such a brilliant color and is full of sweet fragrance.
"karanamrta dharaya snana prathama"
Three times a day she takes bath.
In the morning, afternoon and evening.
Karunyamrta, what is the meaning?
The mood of compassion is called kaurunya.
This is being compared to nectar.
and she takes bath in this.
Radhaji is the pranaya vikara of Krishna.
She is the embodiment of Krishna's love.
"krsna prema murta vigraha"
Her internal moods, her body, her limbs, clothes and desires, each of them is made up of Krishna prema.
She bathes in the nectar of Krishna's compassion.
She does not bathe Herself.
That compassion of Krishna towards Radhikaji, is the nectar in which She takes Her first bath.
Then tarunyamrta.
And by this Her beauty is increased.
What is tarunyamrta?
-Kishori bhava: the mood of a fresh youth.
How is She kishori?
This is Her eternal age.
At this age Krishna is most attracted to Her.
With in this tarunyamrta there are three,
First is bhaya sandhi (just entering the junction between childhood and adulthood) I dont remember them all...
Yes, then vyakta yauvan (when youthfulness is partially manifest) and purna yauvan (fully manifested youth).
In this way in the afternoon she bathes in the waves of tarunyamrta.
And then Lavanyamrta.
Lavanya means,
Just as a pearl radiates it's effulgence,
in the same way Her beauty emanates and attracts Krishna.
Nija lajja: Her shyness
When childhood passes and one enters youth then shyness will come.
At first there is no sense of shyness, but at this age it will come.
"nija lajja syama patta dhari"
Radhaji wears a dark colored saree .
She wears this out of shyness.
"pattasati"
Sometimes it is reddish color:
"amala kamala kantim nila-vastram sukeshamÉ."
At some times it is said to be syama color (dark) and other times it is says aruna (reddish).
So here the anurag of Krishna is the reddish cloth which She wears on Her chest.
"pranaya mana kanculika"
The pranaya (overwhelming affection) and mana (jelous anger) towards Krishna is her blouse (choli).
This blouse (jealous anger) conceals Her prema .
Sometimes she will show a stern face so Krishna will not know what beautiful moods are there.
This hides all of Her moods.
So what is that?
"pranaya mana kanculikaya vaksa acchadana
saundarya kumkum sakhi pranaya candana"
Her saundarya (beauty) is kumkum.
Sakhi pranaya. That affection She shows for Lalita, Viskha, and all the others sakhis and manjaris, and also their affection for Her,
is candana (sandal wood paste).
By applying candana one becomes beautified, fragrant and cooled.
"smita kanti"
Her sweet smiling face, looking towards Krishna, this is camphor.
"ei tina ange vilepana"
These three ingredients, kumkum, (beauty) candana and camphor are smeared on Her body.
"krsnera ujjvala rasa"
Her unnata ujjvala parakiya bhava for Krishna is mrgamada, (musk).
And she wears that musk.
What is the quality of musk?
It intoxicates one, and it increases beauty.
So Radhaji's unnataujvala parakiya bhava for Krishna is mrgamada.
Mada means "full of".
"sei mrgamade vicitra kalevara"
In various ways She is decorated and by this Her beauty is increased.
Praccanna mana... there are many types of sulky moods.
One is vakta (openly expressed),
and praccana, (not expressed outwardly) which is even deeper.
Krishna says: "Are you upset with Me because of Candravali?"
Radhaji replies: "Upset? Why would I be upset? (in mana).
I have no mana what so ever"
Yet She is fully in mana.
This mana is Her hair and the way which it is arranged,
Krishna's mind is thus captivated.
"dhiradhiratmaka guna ange pata vasa"
Dhiradhir bhava, these are Her moods.
Some are calm and mild and others are restless and harsh.
But Radhaji is both, She is dhir-adhir.
"ange pata vasa"
And these moods constitute the silken cloth She wears around her body.
"raga tamubula rage addhara ujjvala"
Attachment (raga) is betalnut (tambul).
Radhaji is taking this betalnut which has been chewed by Krishna.
"vividha-kusuma-vrnda-dhammila-dhati vighatita-mada-ghurnat kekipiccha-prasastim"
"raga tamubula rage addhara ujjvala prema kautilya-netra yugala kajjala"
The crookedness of Her love is the mascara (kajjala) applied to Her eyes.
So this kajjal constitues the crooked nature of Her love.
"suddipta sattvik-bhava harsadi bhusit
ei sab bhava bhusana ange bhari"
She takes on so many different bhavas.
Asta sattvik bhavas and sancari bhavas like trembling, horripilation, tears, shivering, changing of bodily color.
"kilakincitadi bhava vimsati bhusita"
She decorates Herself with these twenty emotions which are like ornaments.
"guna sreni puspa mala saba ange bhari
saubhagya-tilaka caru-lalate ujjvala"
What is the meaning of saubhagya.
Su-bhag means good fortune. A wife's tilak signifies the good fortune of her husband.
So Her tilak is the fortune (prema) for Krishna.
So this constitutes Her tilak.
"caru lalate ujjvala, prema vaicittya ratna"
This loving mood of prema vaicittya is a jewel
and causes the heart to be stirred.
"madhya vayasa sakhi-skhande kara-nyasa"
What is middle age (madhya vasa)?
This is represented by Her sakhis and manjaris like Lalita, Visakha etc. on whose shoulders Radha rests Her hand.
In this condition She is taking Krishna's darshan.
"krsnalila-manovrtti-sakhi-asa-pasa
nijanga-saurabhalaye garva-paryanka
ta'te vasi' ache, sada cinte krsna-sanga
krsna-nama-guna-yas-avatamsa kane"
Krishna's name, fame, and qualities, all decorates Her ears as ornaments.
Meaning that She is always hearing His name etc.
"krsna nama guna yasa-pravaha-vacane"
The descriptions of Krishna's names and qualities continuously flow from Her speech.
"If you are so angry with Krishna, if Krishna is so bad, why do you not just completely forget about Him?"
"I can give up Krishna, but I can not give up Krishna katha."
She will not say "Krishna."
What is it that She says?
A sloka....She can not say Krishna? Where is that from? There She calls him "black".
Stop, wait, I will tell.
From Brahmara gita.
"mrgayur iva kapindram vivyadhe lubdha-dharma striyam akrta virupam stri jitah kama yanam balim api balim attvavestayad dhvanksa-vad yas...
She will call Him "Asit" (black) but She will not say "Krishna." She will not take His name.
"All black persons are like this."
"krsnake karayasyama-rasa-madhu pana"
What is Syama-rasa?
That rasa which Radhika ji has towards Krishna is syamarasa and She induces Krishna to drink this rasa.
In so many various ways she causes Krishna to drink and relish this rasa.
This is Her exclusive activity.
"nirantara purna kare krsnera sarva-kama"
She who completely satisfies all desires, this is Radhika.
"koti koti gopi harita narilo krsnera mana"
She alone is the cause of rasa, and if She is not there than this rasa will be broken.
"krsnera visuddha-prema ratnera akara
anupama-gunagana-purna kalevara
yanra saubhagya-guna vanche satyabhama
yanra thani kala-vilasa sikhe vraja-rama"
"sakhya siskam guru sakhinam"
For the sakhis, even Lalita and Vishakha and others, Radha is guru. But yet She becomes their disciple.
This is particularly said for Lalita.
"yanra saundaryadi-guna vanche laksmi-parvati
yanra pativrata-dharma vanche arundhati
yanra sadguna-ganane krsna na paya para
tanra guna ganibe kemane jiva chara"
How are Her qualities? How is Her compassion? How is this Radhaji?
What to speak of an ordinary person, even Krishna cannot describe this.
Why can't He describe?
If He speaks then His voice will become chocked and He will become completely spellbound. So how can He glorify Her?
He may start to describe but he cannot complete. His description remains inadequate.
"prabhu kahe" Mahaprabhu is hearing all this, so thus who is hearing?
Krishna. Krishna is hearing.
"janilun krsna-radha prema-tattva
sunite cahiya dunhara vilasa mahattva"
Bas.Gaura Premanande.
Now it is eight o'clock and also the desire of Madhava Maharaja has been fulfilled.
We have finished very quickly.
