Hi.
I'm Amy Okuda and I'm an actress.
And I think most people on the internet will know me as
Tinkerballa from "The Guild."
Felicia Day, the creator and writer and star of the show
I'm in, "The Guild," emailed me and was like, hey, do you
want to be on "TableTop?" And I said, yeah, sure.
Because obviously, since "The Guild" is on Geek & Sundry,
I've watched a lot of the shows on there.
And I really enjoy watching "TableTop," especially because
Will's on it, and he's been on "The Guild," and we've got to
kind of hang out and become friends.
So I was really excited to work with my friends.
It's just fun.
I think being on a web series, I get to interact with my fans
a lot more, maybe, than if I were on a TV series,
especially before, when we first started.
So it's kind of cool to get direct feedback on my Twitter
feed or Facebook from my fans.
And then kind of meeting them in person, being like, hey, I
sent you that message on Twitter the other day, and I
totally remember, and it's very cool.
I'm not a gamer, and I think a lot of my
fans know that already.
And just being involved in a show that's so
heavily about gaming--
and especially the fact that it's online, I think kind of
heightens that a little bit more.
It was hard just going to conventions and seeing the
disappointed faces of fans when they're like, oh, what
character do you play?
And I'm like, I don't actually play.
Like, oh, what level are you?
And you're like, uh, duh, duh.
Like, you don't know what to say, because you don't
disappoint them, but you don't want to lie.
I played a role playing game for the
first time at DragonCon.
And I was pretty bad at it.
I rolled a one.
And then they were like, oh, Amy, you know
what that means, right?
And I was like, that I'm number one?
Like, I truly thought that I won because I rolled a one and
I was going to be number one.
It was very embarrassing.
But I had fun.
To me, think gaming is something that can teach me
something new, and also just, like, hang out and have fun
with friends.
A lot of times when I game, if I do game, it's to interact
and have fun with my friends.
