We're here today, at Kendall Toyota
because Chancellor Fran Ulmer is picking up her new hybrid Highlander.
Well, I think it's really important that UAA lead
in terms of trying to be more environmentally responsible.
Not only because it makes sense economically,
to cost less whether we're talking about building being retrofitted or
new lightbulbs that we're installing, or
the cars that we're driving.
My name is Mike Heatherly.
Um, this is the new Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
It's the same platform as the new gas model Highlander, but it's
got the highrate electric, gas motor in it.
Um, the idea is that you get the benefits of electricity
and gas together.
Uh, for fuel economy, uh
higher performance and
it's extremely clean burning.
I'm also really excited because
this car has such a good rating.
Not only environmentally but
also in terms of safety and handling.
So I know if I'm driving, uh, either students around
or faculty, or other folks who may be visiting our campus.
That I'll be driving them safely,
as well as efficiently.
In addition to all of that
it's a beautiful car.
We're going to do it on the count of three.
Okay...one, two, three
Howwwllllll
