Hello there Jammerz, and welcome to our new series of Unboxings and Gadget Reviews
here at Jammers Entertainment
Today, we have the honor to present you the Limited Edition of AMD Radeon R9 280X from Gigabyte
The specific version comes with Battlefield 4 Ultimate Edition of EA Games
This model packs 3GB of GDDR5 memory
So, let's open the package
By opening the package, I see a black box, decorated with a relief of Gigabyte's logo...
...something that gives a prestige feeling of the packaging
Something that also shows that Gigabyte doesn't forget that detail makes the difference
By opening the packaging I see the graphics card, along with a sheet that has Battlefield 4's Activation Code
By watching the card, I want to make clarification that this card is a rebranded model of Radeon HD 7970
That is not necessarily a bad thing, since this model comes on a lower price for the consumers
That also means that it doesn't support the TrueAudio Technology from AMD, in contrast to other s of the same batch
Continuing on, there is a cardboard of the same design, so that we won't forget that we're talking about a Gigabyte product...
...which splits the cables that we'll see in a moment, the manual and the disc with the drivers
as well as a program from Gigabyte, whose usage will be mention in a bit.
The memory clock runs at 6000MHz, as its core clocks at 1GHz with a Boost at 1.1
Its lithography is 28nm, while it supports OpenGL 4.3, DirectX 11.2...
...and the brand new Mantle API, which increases the performance of the games that support it dramatically
such as Battlefield 4 which accompanies the card
The card has DVI-I, 2 mini DisplayPorts and 1 HDMI outputs
The maximum digital resolution it supports is 4K, and the analog is 2K
Also it can be connected at 4 monitors at the same time
It has the Windforce cooling method and it is made out of plastic and a metal brace...
...that keeps the card always aligned
Also, Gigabyte provides OC Guru, which we mentioned before
which is used for overclocking, as well as changes of the temperature limit
The package also includes a 6pin to molex, an 8pin to molex, a crossfire cable...
...and a mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adaptor
We have to state that the card is really big, since its dimensions are:
Height at 38mm, width at 126mm and length at 285mm
The recommended power supply is 600 Watt or more
Since the card consumes up to 250
That sums up our presentation. Thank you for watching
